Live in: Trees.  They prefers areas of dense forests

Eat: Insects and small rodents.  Hunts at dusk and at night by sitting on a high perch and swooping down to catch its prey

Fun Fact: Owls lay eggs.  Sometime up to 8 at a time. And a baby owl is called an owlet

Misconception: Owls can not rotate their head all the way around.  They can rotate it about ¾ of the way or 270 degrees.  A human can only rotate their heads about 180 degrees. 90 degrees to the left. 90 degrees to the right. 

Interesting Fact: Owls are nocturnal, (nok-turn-al) which means that they are awake mostly at night time.
