Picto Kits are not mass produced. Each kit is individually designed, crafted, assembled, and shipped with love and care by my husband and I, right from our home.
Hey there, Picto Pals!! We’re Alyssa and Nick, and we are so excited to empower your inner creative through fail-proof DIY art, quality time, and - of course - fun!!
Picto kits is a story of letting your curiosity and passions lead you - and we’re hoping it will inspire you to do the same!! I, Alyssa, am a fashion designer and artist, and Nick is an engineer turned filmmaker turned entrepreneur. We each built businesses of our own in the past. Nick invented The Puttskee, a wooden portable putting game, and I created wearable art from upcycled textile in my accessory business, Regenerous Designs. But through the pandemic, we saw a gap in an industry we felt excited to fill – families were looking for ways to spend intentional time together.
We knew that our experiences in our previous business would give us a way to create something unique and environmentally sustainable through cut wood and fabric scraps (sustainability is something we’re SUPER passionate about here). Most importantly, though, we were so excited about the idea of offering something that is both fail proof for the little artists AND aesthetically pleasing for adults to display. So, we joined forces and created these DIY art kits just for you.
At Picto kits, we believe in fostering playful learning through quality time. Each box is full of information about the subject, a coloring sheet, and an affirmation so that, as the artists’ confidence is boosted by making something beautiful, they’re also given a message to give that confidence empowering roots.
