FUN FOX FACTS

Live in: All over the world, including Asia, Europe, Northern Africa, North America and Australia. They live in forests, grasslands, and even deserts. 

Eat: Red Foxes are omnivores, which means they eat both plants and animals.  They hunt small rodents, insects, and eat fruits and seeds when available.  They are also scavengers and will eat whatever is available, including dead animals and garbage. 

Fun Fact: Foxes are related to dogs, wolves and coyotes.  

Misconception: They live alone.  Although they don’t hunt in a pack like other relatives, like wolves, they share the duties of raising young and are often found in family units. 

Interesting Fact: Baby foxes are called kits, cubs or pups.
